Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, witnessed the meeting of the Youth and Sports Committee in the House of Representatives, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Chairman of the Committee, and a number of members of the House of Representatives. Discussing ways to create and develop artificial turf football fields in youth centers and sports clubs through the artificial turf factory and Al-Modon Youth and Sports Services Company.The meeting was attended by Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee, Representative Muhammad Labib, Deputy of the Committee, a group of members of the Youth and Sports Committee, and some members of the coordination of the various committees. The meeting was honored by the presence of the honorable Representative Abdel Hadi Al-Qasabi, leader of the majority party, and a number of ministry leaders.During the meeting, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, received praise from all the deputies present, especially the deputies of coordination and members of the Youth and Sports Committee, for the ministry’s role in implementing construction plans and developing youth centers and sports stadiums, as well as intervening to solve all problems in the sports community. The deputies highlighted the role of Al-Modon Company in providing maintenance services and works. Pelletization according to the best technical and time rates, pointing to the necessity of expanding the work of Al-Modon Company in all villages and cities of the governorates of the Republic.Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, reviewed the most prominent achievements in this file and related to the economics of youth and sports in general, explaining the tight economic system that includes the establishment of economic entities similar to the Al-Modon Company for maintenance and development services for youth and sports facilities, which has so far achieved financial surpluses that have been restored. Pumping it into the implementation of more new construction projects and the comprehensive development of youth and sports facilities, as well as the rapid implementation rates of comprehensive maintenance and new construction in accordance with the requirements of young people in all villages and cities of the governorates of the Republic and the Captex Artificial Grass Company, which has created an unprecedented boom in the field of providing high-quality artificial turf raw materials. Through the agency of major German and Dutch companies, which enabled the Ministry to establish more than 4,500 football fields in youth centers in all villages and cities of the Republic’s governorates.The Minister of Youth and Sports added that the economic projects that were implemented, including the National Investment Offering Project, enabled the achievement of investment returns, construction projects, and comprehensive development work in youth centers, with an estimated value of about 4 billion pounds, while the project was able to achieve about 7 billion pounds in sports club projects in less than less than a year. 5 years, indicating the Ministry’s keenness to expand investment offering projects in various youth centers and sports and social clubs in various governorates of the Republic, as it comes without placing any financial burden on the Ministry’s budget. It also represents one of the basic elements for establishing a strong infrastructure for youth centers, which contributes greatly to building Egyptian people by providing these various sports services to youth and youth, as the Ministry obtains 25% of the project’s usufruct revenues, which are re-injected to develop youth centers in villages and areas that are not attractive for investment, while the youth centers benefit from 75% of those revenues as a source of self-financing. It contributes to the implementation of various sports activities without the need for support from the Ministry.
The Minister assured the representatives that these projects were implemented in cooperation and coordination with the esteemed House of Representatives and the Youth and Sports Committee and at the request of many representatives, to achieve the requirements of development work in much shorter time frames than what happened before due to not relying solely on the state’s general budget, adding that the factory CAPTEX was able to reach production rates of artificial turf according to the specified schedule and cover the required volume of maintenance and construction of artificial turf fields in youth and sports facilities throughout the Republic.
Sobhi stressed the importance of the factory in maximizing the role of Egyptian sports towards the Egyptian economy, and being satisfied with the local production of artificial grass, and the returns and profits expected to be achieved as a result of the expansion and technical, administrative and logistical development work in all operating and management systems of the factory, pointing out that the Ministry seeks to establish, develop and improve the services provided and permanent maintenance of the stadiums. Especially with periodic follow-up of the ongoing work in the factory, and verification of reaching production rates of artificial turf according to the specified timetable. To cover the required volume of maintenance and construction of artificial turf fields in youth and sports facilities throughout the Republic.
Dr. Ashraf Sobhi explained that the Ministry of Youth and Sports, during the past nine years, made many achievements to suit the Egyptian citizen with the entry into the new republic. The minister spoke about the capabilities of the Egyptian state in the sports infrastructure, and the infrastructure of the Egyptian state in general has developed greatly, as well as the infrastructure developments. Sports, and that Egypt has great and different experiences in this regard, stressing that economic development and raising the efficiency of government performance is through providing youth and sports services in Egypt through developing resources in sports bodies to achieve self-financing, developing the concept of economic and investment management, developing youth and sports facilities, and deepening strategic relations. With civil society institutions and the private sector through innovative economic systems, it is one of the most important strategic goals that the Egyptian state is working on.
Members of the House of Representatives extended great appreciation and praise for the performance and efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in managing the Industrial Grass Company and Al-Modon Company in providing youth and sports services, and working to maximize youth and sports work in the various governorates of the Republic, in coordination with Messrs.
