Standards for selecting artificial turf for landscape

1- Fiber height

Usually shorter than sports turf, the fiber height ranges from 25 to 40 mm, providing a natural appearance and easy maintenance.

2- Fiber density:

The density of landscape artificial grass ranges from 14,000 to 18,000 stitches per square meter, providing a dense, natural appearance and a soft texture.

3- Fibers:

It is recommended to use polyethylene (PE) fibers or a blend of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) because they are abrasion-resistant and have a natural grass-like texture.
The fibers should be UV-resistant to maintain color stability and prevent fading over time.

4- Colors and design:

Artificial landscape turf can come in a mix of colors (light green, dark green, and some brown fibers) to achieve a natural appearance.
Some types also include multi-length fibers to enhance a more realistic, natural look.

5- Drainage system:

The artificial grass should have drainage holes in the backing that allow water to pass through, preventing water accumulation, especially in areas exposed to rainfall.

6- Fiber flexibility:

The fibers should be flexible enough to withstand daily use such as walking and sitting, while still being stable enough to maintain their shape.

7- Easy installation and maintenance:

Landscape artificial turf is easy to install and requires minimal maintenance; it does not need mowing or irrigation, and periodic cleaning is sufficient.

8- Safety:

It is preferable that the turf is free from harmful materials such as heavy metals to ensure the safety of children and pets during use.
Selecting landscape artificial turf according to these specifications provides a beautiful and comfortable appearance with a long lifespan, and it is also an economical alternative to natural grass, saving significant time and effort in garden maintenance.
